COVID-19

I’ve had a lot of people ask me about COVID-19. I’ve had even more site misinformation that they’ve heard second hand from various people on social media. With all that’s going on, there’s a genuine need for information, but not everyone knows where to go.

So, I’ve dedicated this post to be a resource that aggregates sites which I believe do a great job on reporting factual information on a regular basis.

Stay Safe, Stay Updated.

Google

https://news.google.com/covid19/map

This interactive site is great for viewing cases across the world while also being able to filter down to the state level (in the US). Click the box above to go to their site.

World Health Organization (WHO)

https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/situation-reports

WHO’s situation reports are updated daily and a great resource if you’d like a summarized view of how reported cases & deaths are growing each day (by country). Click the box above to go to their site.

Our World in Data

https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus-data#comparing-data-sources

Our World in Data is “a publication to see the large global problems and the powerful changes that reshape our world”. They look at global issues and break them down with comprehensive metrics that tell an awesome story. For COVID-19, they’ve done an awesome job showing metrics like Healthcare Capacity and Risk Factors with Comorbidity which we don’t usually see. Click the box above to go to their site.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/cases-in-us.html

While the CDC focuses on issues in the US, it’s still a great resource for “COVID-19: U.S. at a Glance”. If you live in America, or have friends/family who do, this is a great resource to monitor. Click the box above to go to their site.

If there are other sources that you would like to see added to this list, drop me a note.
